Let’s bet honest. One of the main reasons you decided to get another iPhone might well be because you did not want to go anywhere near the aggravation of having to transfer all of your photos, apps, music, contacts and more from one operating system to another. It seems like for many people, once you are suckered into Apple, you will stick to Apple and the same can apply for Android. However, this really is not the case. It is actually quite simple transferring your data over from your iPhone to an Android smartphone. In this article, I will be looking at how you can transfer your whole music library from your iPhone to an Android smartphone.

First things first, make sure the Android phone you are transferring the music to has enough storage to cope with your whole music library. If you have 9GB of music on your iPhone and you only have an 8GB smartphone, you will not be able to download all of the music and will have to resort to streaming your music from your Android smartphone.

Now, for the actual transfer, there are two techniques you can use:

#1 Manually Transferring

The great thing about iTunes music is that it is all locally stored on your laptop or desktop PC in a music folder. Therefore, since Android smartphones allow you to add files to the phone using Windows explorer, you can simply Ctrl+ A to select all the music from the iTunes music folder and copy it over to a dedicated folder that is on your Android smartphone.

However, this is not perfect since some of the names of the music iTunes give it is not always the nicest. As well as this, no album artwork is transferred over either. Therefore, I would only ever manually transfer music from iPhone to Android as an absolute last resort.

#2 Google Play Music Manager

Google makes it extremely easy to transfer your music from iPhone to Android. All you have to do is download Google Play Music Manager which is a program that will automatically add music and upload music to your Google Play Music Cloud from certain folders on your laptop or desktop PC…such as your iTunes music folder. From there, you can use the Google Play Music App on your Android Smartphone to carry on listening to all of your favorite hits just like you would have done with your iPhone (with all artist names, song names and album artwork in place too).

As well as this, if you have the storage memory on your Android smartphone, you can specifically download all of your music to that smartphone using the Google Play Music app too. This will stop the annoying buffering that sometimes occurs when the signal is lost and prevent any unnecessary battery consumption that may occur because you are using Wifi/mobile networks to stream your music on the go.
