You will soon have the opportunity to enjoy gaming while browsing through YouTube. The new feature, called ‘Playables’, allows users to play mini-games directly on the YouTube homepage as a fun way to pass the time.

YouTube is currently testing ‘Playables’ with a limited number of users, and the feature is accessible through a separate tab on the homepage of the YouTube mobile app and the desktop website.

Although users can’t see a list of available games yet, one game called ‘Stack Bounce’ has been highlighted by news publisher ‘9to5Google’. It’s a simple arcade-style game where players control a ball to smash through rings by making well-timed clicks.

The version of Stack Bounce on YouTube is similar to versions available on the PlayStore or Facebook games.

Notably, Google had previously featured the game in its GameSnacks service, a platform for enjoying quick-loading bite-sized games on mobile devices that was ultimately unsuccessful and discontinued.

On YouTube, Stack Bounce is expected to save game progress, which can be accessed later through the browser history.

YouTube may introduce more mini games if the feature proves successful. What are some of your favorite mini games that you would like to see on YouTube?
