Windows Installer is Crashing After Linux Install

If the Windows installer is crashing, then you may consider partitioning your hard drive (delete all existing partitions) to remove all traces of Linux.

Name: McCarthy
I had windows installed, then i installed Linux, and when i try to go back to Windows, i put the CD in and it said “setup is inspecting your hardware configuration” then the screen will go blank. How can i remove Linux and get windows back on?

If the Windows installer is crashing, then you may consider partitioning your hard drive (That is to say, delete all existing partitions) to remove all traces of Linux. This is, of course, assuming that you don’t have any information currently on the hard drive that you wish to keep. If you erased everything with the install of Linux, then a partition won’t be a big deal because there’s nothing that you wish to keep.

Really, Windows setup should not be crashing regardless of the contents of your hard drive, so there may be an underlying issue that you would want a professional to check out. Under normal circumstances it’d merely list the hard drive as having no NTFS or FAT32 partitions and have you fix that issue in the setup.
