With all of the security updates that are continuously out nowadays for Internet Explorer and Outlook express some side-effects should be expected. One of the more annoying is the fact that Outlook Express stops allowing you to open pretty much any attachment, and another is that it disables HTML viewing. Now, while this is actually a good security measure as it prevents all kinds of hijack attempts outright, it does tend to be a bit annoying when someone sends you an e-mail with images or something in the body and all you view is the text of it. (Often times you can actually see what the e-mail should look like by trying to forward it because you still are able to send HTML messages)
Anyway, re-enabling HTML viewing is rather incredibly easy. Simply click on Tools->Options->Read and uncheck the “Read all messages in plain text” option. Click Apply, OK and then close OE and reopen it. Your aunts pictures should be displaying beautifully now.
