OKI C5100 printer issue

Name: June C.

My printer is an OKI C5100 and I have it shared in my house to our other computers. What happens is I can print text stuff OK but graphics don’t seem to go through. If I send a job with graphics sometime it’ll print the text portion and nothing else and more often it won’t print anything at all. The main computer prints stuff ok, but the issue is from the shared computers.

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers on the client machines? That’s the first thing that I would do. If that doesn’t work then it’s a possibility that it’s a driver issue on the main machine that’s running the printer. (If you’ve got other shared printers, try those to make sure it’s not a network issue)

Download the updated drivers from here onto the host machine, reshare the C5100 and see what happens.

Sometimes if you have a newer driver on the networked machine because you downloaded it, and have an older driver on the host computer because you loaded it from the CD then the new isn’t all the way backwards-compatible with the older one.
