Extract registration key from Windows XP

Often enough we lose the key to our Windows install. Sometimes we’re lucky and still have a functioning install of our operating system still functioning. With Windows 98 and the other older versions it was easy enough to extract the installation key from the registry, but it is encrypted in Windows XP.

Luckily there are a couple of utilities that will extract it for you:
