Japan Government to Provide 70 Authorized Training Programs to Boost Pakistan’s Development

The Japanese government has announced that it will offer approximately 70 training programs to help accelerate the development of various sectors in Pakistan, such as education, healthcare, information technology, energy, and transportation, among others.

Around 120 Pakistanis are set to undergo training in these specific areas as part of this initiative. Matsuda Kuninori, the Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, encouraged Pakistanis to make the most of this opportunity to further advance their country’s development. He emphasized that this effort would also strengthen the existing bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Japan.

These training programs have a long history, dating back to 1957, and have already benefitted over 6,000 Pakistanis across different industries.

Given the constraints posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is collaborating with various ministries and universities to ensure that these training opportunities are still accessible through online platforms.
