**How to Remove Phone Link from a Windows Device**

Microsoft has recently renamed the Your Phone Companion app to Phone Link and made significant improvements to its functionality. The app now supports additional messaging features, keyboard languages, phone screens, and more. Phone Link is compatible with most Android devices and offers enhanced functionality for some Samsung and HONOR devices through partnership agreements.

If you no longer need the Your Phone app on your Windows device, you can easily uninstall it following these steps:

**Remove the Phone Link app on Windows**
1. Open PowerShell as Administrator. You can do this by searching for PowerShell in the Start menu, right-clicking on it, and selecting “Run as Administrator.”
2. Confirm the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
3. Enter the following command to uninstall the Phone Link app: `Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.your phone -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage`
4. Press Enter to execute the command.

Please note that while the app’s display name has changed to Phone Link, the package name remains the same. Once uninstalled, the app will no longer appear in searches or the list of installed applications in the Settings app.

**Why PowerShell?**
Microsoft has disabled the option to uninstall Phone Link from the Settings app, so PowerShell is the alternative method for removal.

**Reinstalling Phone Link**
If you ever need to reinstall Phone Link, simply visit the Microsoft Store page for the app and click on the “Get” button to download and install it again on your device.
