3 Blogging Tips That Will Save You Hours Of Time

I tend to find that when it comes to finding useful information about blogging on the internet, articles are often too wavy or too specific to something that really does not matter to me (at this moment in time). The truth of the matter is that if one person listed down every blogging tip out there, the list would be infinity long (or close to it at least)! However, this does not mean you should not look into blogging tips to utilise from the internet. For this reason, here are three blogging tips you can use which can potentially save you hours upon hours of your valuable time.

#1 Content First, Design Second

When you are first starting out as a blogger, it is all so tempting to customize the design of your blog to make it look the way you want it. Think of it as trying to make a restoration project car look better visually. Although it looks better visually, it still will not be able to move as no time has been spent restoring the engine.

The same principle can apply to blogging. You can make the design look nice. However, if you do not put any time into the content of your website, your website will go nowhere. For this reason, as a rule of thumb, always try to put double the hours of time into content that you put into design a the bare minimum.

#2 Haters ‘Gonna’ Hate

As a blogger, you are going to get people talking about you online whether it be in the comment section of your blog, on social media platforms such as Twitter or Facebook or on other websites. Hoepfully, the conversations that take place will be positive towards you. However, there will always be someone out there that will not give nice comments about you or your blog. What advice can I give you for this? Ignore them. My Grandad once told me that there are two types of people in life when you make a success of yourself. There will be those that will congratulate you and be happy for you and there will be those that will despise you and be jealous of you. Haters that hate are basically saying ‘I am jealous that you have done so well’ so take it as a compliment!

#3 Employ Blogging People

This might seem a bit strange to do as some blogger’s budgets might not be enough to hire people. However, it is always a good idea to get another person on board with your blog to help you get things going and continue the development of it. By yourself, it might take 5 years to create a successful website. With the help of others and $500/year salaries for those that help you, you could be there in under 2 years easy. The fact is that many hands make light work (and it also means you can concentrate your efforts on more specific areas that need attention looking at them).
