We are at a stage with smartwatches that the mass market are starting to buy them, considering that the features of the watches are now extremely good, the battery lasts days and, well, the watches look like watches. This makes 2018 one of the most exciting years for smartwatches yet.

However, there are a lot of smartwatches on the market, especially in the Wear/Android OS section. For this reason, here are the top 5 smartwatches that run Android OS, latter changed to Wear OS.

 

 

#5 Asus Zenwatch 3

Although Asus is not a big name, it seems, with smartwatches, the people at Asus have made a truly beautiful watch that will make anyone feel fashionable if they were to wear it. Using an AMOLED screen and minimum bezels, the Asus Zenwatch 3 addresses the concerns of those who want a smartwatch without making people realize they have one on. The only drawback is the lack of GPS and heart rate sensor, which is a must for some.

#4 LG Watch Sport

The LG Watch Sport is a watch that is packed with features, which works both to its advantage and disadvantage. On the plus side, the watch comes with a heart rate monitor, GPS, barometer and even 4G connectivity. However, in having these features, the battery life is heavily affected, whilst 4G connectivity requires a sim and a data plan.

 

 

#3 LG Watch Style

On the flip side to the LG Watch Sport, the Watch Style is the complete opposite, going for a minimalist approach to a watch with just the bare essentials as to what a smartwatch needs. This means the LG Watch Style doesn’t have 4G, NFC, barometer or even a heart rate monitor. However, on the counter side, the design is second to none and the watch is very slim and light to wear.

Probably the least known company that make Android Smartwatches, the Ticwatch is a brilliant smartwatch that combines features, style and a price point to make this a watch that competes against the big guns in this market. The Ticwatch comes with a brilliant design, 48 hour battery life, GPS and a heart rate monitor. However, there is a lack of NFC with this watch, meaning Android Pay is not possible.
