The Thunderbird development team is hard at work on the upcoming release of Thunderbird 128 Nebula, the open-source email client. They have now shared a support page providing insights into what users can anticipate in the upcoming version.
Thunderbird 128: Availability in Four Release Channels
Thunderbird 128 will be accessible through four different versions:
- Thunderbird Daily — Updates on a daily basis similar to Firefox Nightly
- Thunderbird Beta — Major updates every four weeks along with smaller testing updates before the stable release
- Thunderbird Release — The stable version with major updates every four weeks
- Thunderbird ESR — The Extended Support Release version with major updates annually and regular minor and security updates
User preference for stability or features will determine the choice of channel, with ESR providing stability and the Release channel offering the latest features.

Users interested in this can check the official Thunderbird Exchange support page for guidance on enabling this functionality. On the topic of customizations, userChrome customizations may not be fully supported in Thunderbird 128, and some adjustments may be needed.Image Source: Thunderbird.net
