Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max
Amazon claims that their latest Fire TV stick, the 4K Max, is their most powerful stick yet. It boasts a 40% increase in performance, quicker app launches, and smoother navigation.
The new stick is powered by a 1.8 GHz Mediatek MT7921LS processor and a PowerVR GE9215 GPU running at 750 Mhz. It comes with 8 GB of storage space and 2 GB of RAM.
Comparing the hardware specs of the new Fire TV Stick to its predecessors like the Fire TV Stick 4K, there are noticeable improvements. The CPU and GPU run faster, with a 0.1 GHz increase in the processor and a 100 MHz increase in the GPU. Additionally, the 4K Max has 2 GB of RAM compared to the 1.5 GB in the Fire TV Stick 4K.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the first to offer Wi-Fi 6 support, promising better wireless performance if your router is compatible with Wi-Fi 6.
Another unique feature of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is Live View Picture-in-Picture support, a feature not found in other Fire TV sticks except for the Fire TV Cube.
Is It Worth Buying Now?
So, should you upgrade to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max right away, especially if you are currently using an older Fire TV Stick?
It depends. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max offers significant improvements over older models, delivering noticeable performance gains.
For those not in a rush, it might be worth waiting. Amazon typically offers significant discounts on Fire TV Sticks during Black Friday and the Holiday Season sales.
