Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 review: Waiting on the world to change

In many ways, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a completely ridiculous phone. It is, after all, extravagantly expensive. Many people can’t buy this phone, and many more almost certainly do not *need* to. But that doesn’t mean the Fold 2 is unimportant.

If nothing else, it offers a more polished glimpse of the future of what our phones CAN be, and what people have to look forward to once foldables become more affordable and mainstream. And Samsung deserves credit for ironing out a lot of issues that plagued the original.

The thing you need to keep in mind, though, is that while the hardware is miles better than it used to be, the ecosystem around it still has a long way to go.
