Nokia has been struggling to keep pace with the current market trends. There is still some apprehension in the minds of users regarding devices that run on the Windows Phone OS. However, Nokia plans to change this misconception with the introduction of its new series of phones such as the new Nokia Lumia Icon.
The Build and Design
The phone is amazing in how it has been built. The phone is boxy no doubt, but the squared off edges ensure that it can balance the Icon upright. The colors are limited to black and white only and integrate the use of aluminum to provide an executive feel. It is worth noting that the phone is 5.4 inches tall and 2.8 inches wide. It does feel hefty but it can be handled with one hand without much hassle. With an amazing 5-inch 1080p HD AMOLED screen it’s no surprise that the creators want to offer impressive visuals. From movies to games, you can get topnotch visuals on the screen of your Nokia Lumia Icon.
Specifications
For users who demand optimum power, there is much more being offered in terms of hardware capabilities. It comes equipped with the latest Adreno 330 GPU unit and a Quad core Processor that is over clocked for increased efficiency. Apart from the normal specs like GPS and Wi-Fi, it sports a 20 megapixel camera and a secondary 1.2 megapixel camera with Pure View technology. However, the phone is limited to 32GB of storage space with no card slot for an expandable memory card to be put in place. This is one drawback which some users might consider a deal breaker.
After reviewing the specs, one can evaluate that Nokia wishes to be the underdog no more. They have most certainly managed to up their game to level the playing field with its competitors. Still, there is much to be desired before it can come up to the level of the iPhone or Galaxy S series.
