Marshall may have made a good name in the amplifier sector, but they have made a name in the headphones market as well. The Marshall Major Headphones was a decent device, but it couldn’t stand among the great models. With the Marshall Headphones Major II however, things have improved significantly and with an overall better design and value for money, Marshall has made an impact on headphone lovers.
Design
Unlike the previous model, Major II has a more rounded shape for the ear cup. The added flexibility to the overall design of the headphones also makes it a far more comfortable headphone to wear over the ears for extended period of time. They are not only comfortable but fit better on your head as well to give a generally better experience. The cord is now detachable, so keeping the headphones folded in a pouch is a tad easier with the cord out of the way.
Marshall has added a 3.5-mm jack on both headphones, so you can plug the cord in either one according to your liking. Better yet, you can plug in two cords and share the music with a friend as well. The overhaul in the design has also led to a more durable and sturdier design according to Marshall owing to the vinyl finish. So, it’s safe to say the build quality has improved significantly and the headphone may be able to stand the test of time.
Performance
Marshall Major II headphones have been enhanced to perform better and sound much superior to the original version. With improved bass and amplified details, you get clearer sound and clarity listening to your favorite music. Listeners can use the headphone with their Android and iOS devices as well owing to the remote and a button included on the cord. A microphone accompanies the remote as well, but the lack of volume controls can be a turn-off for some.
For a $100 headphone, Marshall Major II is impressive. The improved design and performance make it one of the better headphones in the price range!
