Linux Kodachi 7.2: What’s New?
The latest release brings a host of new security-focused features, updated components, and various enhancements. Built on the foundation of Xubuntu 18.04 LTS, Kodachi 7.2 now incorporates an upgraded Linux Kernel, moving from version 5.4.0-33 to 5.4.0-42.
A notable addition in Kodachi 7.2 is the inclusion of the highly regarded Session Messenger, known for its robust security measures. Furthermore, the update also integrates Threema, another end-to-end encrypted instant messaging application, into Kodachi’s browser bookmarks.
In response to the rebranding of the Matrix protocol-based messaging client Riot, Kodachi has introduced a new client called Element. The new release also enhances communication security by offering Steghide-GUI, enabling users to encrypt text messages and embed them within jpg, wav, or similar file formats for added protection.
