How to Turn Off SharePlay on Apple TV

Disabling SharePlay on Apple TV is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Using your Apple TV remote, press the “Menu” button to go to the home screen.
  2. Look for the active SharePlay session thumbnail on the home screen, which may show the participants’ faces or the content being shared.
  3. Highlight the active SharePlay session.
  4. Press the “Play/Pause” button on your remote.

By doing this, you will either pause or stop the SharePlay session, depending on your preference.

How to Turn Off SharePlay on Mobile Devices

If you want to disable SharePlay on your iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:

  1. Open your device’s settings.
  2. Scroll down and find “FaceTime”.
  3. Tap on “FaceTime” to access its settings.
  4. Look for the “SharePlay” option within the FaceTime settings.
  5. Toggle off the switch next to “Allow SharePlay”.

Following these steps will turn off the SharePlay feature on your mobile device, preventing the sharing of video, audio, screen, or music during FaceTime calls.

Note: If you decide to reactivate SharePlay, you can go through the same steps and toggle the “Allow SharePlay” switch back on.
