Lakka 3.6 Release New Features And Upgrades – Here’s What They Are

Gaming on Linux is a hot topic right now, thanks to Valve’s Steam Deck lighting up the floor of Linux gaming with the Proton compatibility layer. AAA games are great, but most people still play older games because they pack a massive punch of nostalgia.

Lakka is an emulation OS that uses RetroArch, and by using it, you can quickly run old games. The latest release — Lakka 3.6 — is here and let’s talk about what’s new in the same.

What’s New In Lakka 3.6?

RetroArch has been updated to This adds an option to control the menu with all the connected users. Apart from that, there’s now a new option for ‘automatic frame delay.’ All you need to know about automatic frame delay, for starters, is that it reduces the Frame Delay, resulting in reduced input latency.

Cores have been updated to their most recent versions. The release also includes new libretro cores for beetle-fce, ecwolf, fbneo.

Other updates include Mesa (21.2.5), Kernel (5.10.78), and Raspberry kernel/firmware (1.20211029). The issue with the old Intel GPUs is also fixed now.
