ISLAMABAD: Kuwait has temporarily suspended its e-Visa program for nationals from 53 countries. This decision is linked to an ongoing revamp and upgrade of the system. Consequently, travelers who relied on the online platform to organize their arrival into the country will be impacted.
The affected countries and territories include:
Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Laos, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Vatican City.
As per a notice on Kuwait’s official e-Visa site, the suspension is part of a larger effort to “develop and enhance” the existing system. However, the Ministry of Interior, which governs the e-Visa service, has not yet provided a precise timeline for these updates.
To mitigate any inconvenience for travelers, the Kuwaiti authorities have confirmed that tourists from the impacted 53 nations can still secure a tourist visa upon their arrival in Kuwait.
How to Apply for a Visa on Arrival in Kuwait?
