As a Math and Science lover since childhood, Nitin chose to complete his Bachelor of Technology in Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad. With more than a decade of experience, he holds a specialized role in the technology landscape, with a background covering the entire technology stack, from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). He has a deep understanding of enterprise ecosystems; he played a crucial role in integrating and automating technology solutions to drive several scalable projects that impacted the enterprise.
Migrating existing Data assets from on prem Big Data warehouse to Cloud Data architecture wasn’t just a technical shift. It demanded a holistic understanding of business specific data needs. Nitin’s expertise lies in meticulous planning, selecting the most appropriate Azure services, and ensuring a seamless data transfer process with minimal downtime. Guiding teams through this intricate process is a testament to his proficiency. The cloud migration helped with the significant 2.5 million dollars of annual operational cost saving for his organization. He has become a respected figure in his organization as an Azure Cloud Data architecture, notably for executing successful cloud data migration projects.
Nitin finds himself at the forefront of a new frontier—Generative AI within the cloud landscape. His recent research and development are on creating an enhanced detection capability by utilizing AI algorithms and combining multiple data sources. This specific project helps identify Fraudulent Claims in the Health insurance that can help save millions of dollars of overpayment for Medicare and Medicaid claim services. Using the Large Language Models (LLMs), vector databases, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) can help identify and detect patterns for potentially fraudulent activity.
As a vital member of the UHG (Optum) Enterprise Data team Nitin collaborates with Product Owners, Data Scientists and business users to reimagine, design, and build the next generation of cloud-based insurance solutions. Furthermore, he is serving as an Advisory Board Member with his alma mater Clark University for advising and helping them develop MS programs in Business Analytics (MSBA) course that cater to the needs and requirement of everchanging industry in the field of Analytics and AI.
