OpenAI just announced GPT-4o mini, a pared down version of its latest flagship model. The new model is supposed to be more than 60% cheaper than GPT 3.5 Turbo. Smaller models are useful options for high volume, simple tasks that developers might repeatedly call on an AI model to perform — and GPT-4o is now rolling out to ChatGPT users.
