In a recent speech to Karachi’s business sector, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir expressed strong confidence in the bright and secure future of Pakistan.
Reflecting on the country’s development, he stated, “The clouds of despair that loomed a year ago have now dissipated.”
Reinforcing his earlier messages, the Army Chief highlighted the necessity of fostering hope, declaring: “Despair is forbidden for Muslims.” He pointed out that several key economic indicators in Pakistan have shown positive trends recently and predicts ongoing growth for the coming year.
In response to those who hold a bleak view and speculate about the possibility of the country defaulting, he asked, “Where are those voices now?” He suggested that such individuals should face the consequences of their predictions.
Discussing security concerns, the Army Chief indicated that terrorism frequently receives support from illicit enterprises and foreign influences. He reiterated the government’s dedication to protecting Pakistan’s digital frontiers and ensuring the safety of its citizens online.
