Acer introduced the Aspire S13 in competition with Macbook. Acer claims their laptop is half the price of what the competition is offering. While not entirely true, it is less in price compared to others in the market. It offers a Precision Touchpad, which is fast. But there is also a non-touch model available. It comes with Windows 10. Here is a look at some other features to see if they are actually offering anything new.
Design
The model is currently available in 2 colors. Acer Aspire S13 is both slim and light, weighing only 1.3kg for the non-touch model. Because of its light weight, it’s easy to carry around. The downside of its slim and light design is it can bend and creak when put under pressure.
Resolution
The laptop has a 13.3-inch display along with an IPS screen and a Full HD resolution. Not too bad if you feel like watching your favorite TV show. The 1920×1080 resolution is pretty decent if you compare it to Acer’s other laptops and its competitor’s laptops in the market.
Storage
Now as far as the hardware of the S13 is concerned, it will suit the needs of people largely dealing with complicated tasks. The laptop comes installed with an Intel Core i3U processor but if you want, Core i5 or even Core i7 options are also available along with Intel HD Graphics 5200. Acer provides up to 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with a 512GB SSD.
Battery Life
The Aspire S13 offers battery life of up to 13 hours for the touch model. For its non-touch model, it has a battery life of 11 hours. It’s not impressive but if you want a portable laptop, it’s a good choice because of its light weight.
So, as you can see, the Acer Aspire S13 offers you great value for your money, especially if you are looking for a compact laptop.
