4 Gadgets that Help Me Blog Daily

As much as a laptop is all you really need to blog, it can definately be argued that there are many gadgets and pieces of tech out there that can contribute as a catalyst to making your life of blogging more efficient, productive and, in general, better. However, finding these pieces of tech is quite a challenge, since there is so much you can do and buy to improve your blogging experience. However, from blogging for the past 7 years, here are the main pieces of tech and gadgets I use that help to make my blogging career that bit nicer and better for me.

#1 A really Good Smartphone

Although you might see a deal for a mid-range smartphone or an older flagship smartphone, I cannot stress enough how much frustration I have from smartphones that have:

  • Died before the end of the day
  • Overheat
  • Freeze or slow down

In general, the phones that do not do these are Apple iPhones as well as the new Google Pixel phones. Since there are so many apps that you download to help you with blogging, such as a notes app, Trello, Gmail/inbox, Blogger, WordPress and more, it is a necessity to have a phone for which you can rely on.

#2 Google Home

Google Home is an artificial intelligence speaker for the Home, which you can ask questions and help you with your daily life. As a blogger, I am constantly having to Google questions, for which I could simply ask Google Home whilst I continue blogging.

For this reason, I have found Google Home extremely good at making me work more efficiently. Include this with a Google Play Music subscription so you can have any music playing in the background, I find this to be a great recipe when it comes to blogging.

#3 LaMetric with Blog App

LaMetric is a smart clock with a full LED display on the front panel of it. With this, you can download Image result for lametric website trafficapps to the smart clock to show different things. This can include the time, weather, gmail notifications, Twitter followers, YouTube followers, Facebook likes and, the one I like the most, website traffic in Google Analytics.

What really makes LaMetric special is the fact that the statistics it shows on the LED display are live. The number you see is a live number for the stat you are viewing. Therefore, if you have a website with traffic, you can see the number tick away at every time someone visits the site – for myself, I found this a great motivation when it comes to blogging to have sitting at my desk, reminding me of the fact my articles gain traffic.

#4 A Full Size Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

As much as a trackpad and a keyboard for a laptop ‘does the job’, there is nothing that can be the full size keyboard, with numbers pad, along with a mouse, all wirelessly. The rate at which people can type at online will very much vary how productively they work when it comes to blogging. Therefore, with this in mind, make sure you have a set up which will allow you to type as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
