If the back of the phone gets very warm after rebooting, consider replacing the battery. My Tour use to reboot after web surfing or during a call. After it reboot, battery life was very low. I replaced the battery and the rebooting has been eliminated

I have a tour 9630 of verizon, using os 4.7. When I plug in the USB into the fone,it reboots continuously and after a while it switches on. The battery icon shows charging then like after 3 seconds it goes away, plus the computer doesn't detect the fone. I unplug the usb dongle from the fone and when I replug it in the fone reboots again.
Any ideas will be helpfull.

Nah, avoid Blackberries altogether. Android phones are now so far superior to RIM's offerings it's ridiculous. I sold my Blackberry tour and got myself the Verizon Samsung Droid Charge, and aside from it's short battery life I couldn't be happier. 8.5 MBps download speeds when connected via 4G!!

Tunji your memory has got corrupted or something, i have to say the tour is the worst bb i have ever used , i so much hate it as i like it too, but i cant wait to get a bold touch soon. Mine had that problem one certain time and i flashed it in computer village, i believe you are familiar with that, you gonna loose a lot when you do that, i just hope you backed up sometime back, by the way my tour is still restarting although it has reduced drastically since i upgraded to v5.0.0.1030. sometimes in a week it wont restart.

Have you disabled Bluetooth on the phone as suggested in the article? If so, does your wife's Blackberry Tour keep rebooting even with Bluetooth disabled?

I have a tour and so does my wife. I updated fine except for clicking on webpages, but hers reboots almost constantly. I have pulled the battery with no luck. Anyone have any other suggestions? I guess I can always reload the previous OS.

@Kevin - Good thing I found this article! I also updated my Verizon Blackberry 9630 to the new OS 5.0.0.591 when it became available through the Blackberry Desktop Manager and the same thing happened to me. The update went fine, but after it was done the phone kept rebooting continuously on me.

It wasn't until after I read this page that I disabled Bluetooth on my Windows 7 laptop and the Tour stayed on. I hope they fix this issue soon!! I need to sync my Tour to my laptop and I don't want to use the USB cable every time to do it!!
