What is Tile App?
[checklist]

  • Tile App is the world’s largest – and tiniest – lost and found app. Attach the device to anything you want and keep track of its location with your iOS device. The app makes it so easy to find your Tiles at any time and from anywhere. Let’s take a closer look at what other features Tile has to offer in our Tile app review:
  • Tracks multiple Tiles. You can add up to 8 tiles to your account to keep track of your most valuable items.
  • Plays sound. With just the click of a button, your Tile will start playing a melody or ringing to help you quickly find what you’re looking for.
  • Keeps track of last location. The Tile app will remember the last place it saw your Tile.
  • Finds Tiles in range. When using the app, you can see yourself getting closer to your Tile when you’re within 50-150 feet of it.
  • Compatible with iOS 7. Tiles are compatible with the iPad Mini, iPhone 4S, iPad 3rd gen and newer, and iPod Touch 5th gen and newer.
  • A year of tracking. Tiles last for one year. You’ll be reminded when it’s time to reorder and will even receive an envelope to recycle your old Tiles.
  • Lost and found. When you mark an item as lost, the location of your Tile will automatically update if other Tile community members are within range of it. Tiles send out signals that iOS devices pick up. When a community member is within range of a lost Tile, its location is automatically updated in an anonymous way. Other members will never know where your Tile is or that they’re helping you find it.

Pros

  • Portable: Tiles are small, sleek and discreet.
  • No batteries to replace: Tiles last for one year, and there’s no need to replace batteries.
  • Quickly track lost items: Other Tile community members can help you find your lost item through the Tile app.
  • Long range: Tiles can be tracked at a range of 50-150 feet.
  • Audible tracking: Tiles come with speakers that play a melody or ring to help you quickly locate your item – even if it’s buried under couch cushions.
  • Track multiple Tiles: Having the option of adding up to 8 Tiles to your account allows you to keep track of your most valuable items with ease.

Cons

  • The Tile app is not compatible Android devices yet, but the developers are working on a solution.
