		<description>I had the same problem - some of the VGA pins were bent over. I took a small screw driver an straightened them out - the problem was fixed! Have A Great Day!

		<description>I had the same problem when I reconnected my monitor after not using it for a while Windows loaded alright  but the screen was all blue I know it worked before I disconnected it I found that when I connected the VGA I bent some of the pins I took a small screw driver an straighten them an the problem was fixed Have A Great Day!

Some video cards will actually go bad and produce horizontal or vertical lines on the screen. It sounds like all that was needed was a a adjustment to the monitor settings.
