Cable was the problem. After reading above, I turned the monitor around, and the cable fell off. (I’m now unpacking from a move to a new apt.) Re-attaching the cable and screwing in the connectors solved the problem. Thanks!

The Cable MUST be properly secured, every pin connected. As long as you see some sort of picture, you know the GPU is working.

Me too, i had that same problem and i took it to the warranty and they couldn’t do nothing about it, i had to buy another one

I just had this problem. The whole screen has a blue cast to it. I discovered that the connection into the back of the PC was slightly out on one side.
I pushed it all the way in and the screen returned to normal immediately.

I had the same problem – some of the VGA pins were bent over. I took a small screw driver an straightened them out – the problem was fixed! Have A Great Day!

I had the same problem when I reconnected my monitor after not using it for a while Windows loaded alright but the screen was all blue I know it worked before I disconnected it I found that when I connected the VGA I bent some of the pins I took a small screw driver an straighten them an the problem was fixed Have A Great Day!

For the sake of adding information. If the connection between the monitor and the video card is loose there’s the problem. Some video cards will actually go bad and produce horizontal or vertical lines on the screen. It sounds like all that was needed was a a adjustment to the monitor settings.
