i have forgotten my windows password and didn’t create a back-up cd, just wanted to know what my options are, please help ;) thanks

The first, and easiest way to make the correction is to boot to safe mode, and log in as the administrator. The vast majority of machines don’t have a password in their admin account set, so it’s quite simple to get into and then remove the password.
Once booted and logged in as the admin,
Click Start->Control Panel
On the left, click Switch to Classic View
Then open up User Accounts
Select the account you log into normally, and click change password
Change the password to whatever you want, and then click OK
Reboot, and you’re done.
If you can’t log into the admin account because it’s password protected as well, then you’ll have to go through some extra steps to reset the admin password.
