3 Steps To Make As A New Blogger

Starting off a career as a blogger can be exciting but a scary experience at the same time. You are new to the world of making money online but know the possibilities are endless. For most bloggers, they will have learnt the hard way. By this, they would have made mistakes time and time again which would both cost them time and money. For me, I was one of these people. I made many mistakes when I first started blogging so I feel it is only right to the community to give new bloggers a few tips to help guide them in the right direction. Here are three steps new bloggers should make when first creating and running a website.

#1 Concentrate On Content

The first point is extremely crucial. As a new blogger, I spent around half my time changing and optimising the layout of my website to get it ‘perfect’. However, I never got it perfect and spent far too much time on it when I should have been concentrating on content. My point is that if you have no traffic coming to your website, your website’s template will not matter as no-one is viewing it! Concentrate on content first and then once you have got traffic coming in, then concentrate on your website’s design.

From experience, I would even say a new blogger should spend $50-$100 to simply get someone else to do it for you since there are many people that can make amazing timeless templates for that sort of money online.

#2 Stick To One Topic

With my first website, I wanted to make it a blog of my opinions. This can work out. However, I found quickly that a website with so much varied content was always going to struggle to do well. The best websites out there are those that gain traffic and maintain the traffic on their website by getting them to view more than one article during their visit. If you have varied content, this is not possible. As well as this, websites on one topic do much better organically on search results than those with varied content.

#3 It Will Take Time

As a new blogger, you will need patience. Traffic will not come flooding in straight away. It might take a few months. For that, it might take half a year. However, once you start getting traffic coming in, I am pretty sure that if you have made timeless content, it will stay there for years to come. The sky is the limit when it comes to blogging! Every article you, the blogger, make and publish online has the potential and the highest of chances of staying on the internet for hundreds of years! Think about that…
