2 Tips to Help Write a Blog Post in 30 Minutes

When it comes to blogging, many people are put  off the idea of it because they feel it is something that takes a lot of time. It is true that in certain situations, bloggers can get writer’s block and can be sitting an an empty blog post for hours upon end trying to come up with an idea for the next blog post to go viral online. However, to prevent this from happening, here are two tips bloggers can take advantage of to make their time blogging much more efficient. This, in turn, will help bloggers turn out extremely high quality articles within half an hour.

#1 Set a Time Limit

If you are struggling to write content on time, a huge factor for this is generally because you are getting distracted too easily and procrastinating. For example, my procrastination is that I do all my blogging right next to a piano and keep stop/starting due to playing it. Therefore, what I tend to find that helps to keep me working efficiently and productively is to set a time limit of when I have to create a blog post. Of course, it is not a good idea to set unrealistic targets such as a blog post in 15 minutes as the chances are that the blog post will not be of the highest quality. Instead, what I tend to find is that the time limit should be an additional 10  minutes per 100 words. So, if you were wanting to write an article that is 1000 words long, you could set yourself a time limit of around 1 hour 10 minutes.

#2 Jot Down Any Blog Post Ideas During the Day

A big contribution to a blog post that takes ages to write is getting the idea for the blog post to begin with! You may write very quickly and high quality content when you have something to write about. However, if you cannot think of anything worth writing about, then the clock will just keep ticking away. This is why it is critical to time efficiency to write down any ideas you have for blog posts during the day.

I say this because if you think of something to write just before you write it, you are forcing your brain to think of something which may not always produce the best ideas to write about. The best ideas are those that will naturally come to you and this can happen anywhere and at any time. I remember that 3/5 of my websites were created on a random thought from doing something at a random time during the day. Since then, I do the same for all my blog posts – the fact of the matter is that if you think of an idea to write about during the day randomly and spontaneously, it is clearly evident that it is worth writing an article about!
